in grid view, titles are misplaced and partially obscured

In grid view, titles of portrait-orientation photos run into the grid frame and are partially obscured.  See attached screen grab.  Lightroom Classic 10.2. This only started when I upgraded to Catalina 10.15.7.

Have you tried turning your graphic processer off to see whether that helps? While in the Performance section of Preferences, you might also try optimizing and purging the cache.

LR 10 switched font families to align with the Adobe standard, and a whole bunch of font glitches were introduced, many of which haven't been fixed yet.  At least one other person has reported your symptoms:

Please add details of your issue to that bug report, including the screenshot and the first ten lines from the menu command Help > System Info. Don't simply link back to this thread, since experience shows that Adobe developers tend not to follow the links. Be sure to click Like and Follow under the first post, which will make it a little more likely Adobe will prioritize a fix.
