Or, if the question is- Which Collections does one photo appear in?

When badges are shown on thumbnails the [In a Collection] badge looks like two folders-

And if you [Left-Click] on this Collection badge you will see a list of Collections that contain a reference to this one photo- A check-mark indicates you are currently viewing that Collection

"When badges are shown on thumbnails the [In a Collection] badge looks like two folders"
I think that does not work for smart-collections or am I wrong?

I have tested it. Smart collections are not covered in the selections displayed by the badge. Or are there any settings somewhere to include smart collections?

I recognize the collection badge only by selecting photos in the folder panel.
@Rob_Cullen Is there a way to display that the collection badge while browsing collections? This would help me to answer my question, in which other collections a photo appears.
Regards, Benjamin

To see badges on photos you need to have the options checked in the Library View options to [Show Grid Extras] and [Thumbnail Badges]-  Note: On the filmstrip- Badges will not show at all if the filmstrip height is reduced markedly.

If  in Grid View,  and badges are showing, it is possible to click the collection badge and see Standard collections-

1) -When viewing a selected Folder  of images,

Rob_Cullen_1-1724106504781.png

2) -When viewing in a selected standard Collection

Rob_Cullen_0-1724106451356.png

3) -When viewing in a selected standard Collection Set

4) -When viewing in a selected Smart Collection Set

But is a photo in a Smart Collection?-  No.  A badge will not indicate if a photo is in a Smart Collection.  An idea worth submitting?

Hi @Rob_Cullen

sorry for the late response. To your question: Yes, I think it can be communicated. I often miss a way to check if the photo is in a certain status in my workflows, e.g., if I have already done some pre-sharpening. You can check something like this with smart filters, and I save colors for tagging.

I admit that the idea only came to me while reading the thread. But for me, it would be a relief.
Regards, Benjamin
