Individual slide duration for slideshow with audio

Hi - is it possible to adjust individual slide durations to better suit the audio when making a slideshow?

LR's "set to music" tab does an OK job but not perfect.

I'm afraid that's not possible. To get more sophistication in your slideshow, you'll need to use a dedicated application to create them.
