is there no way to do a strength/opacity slider for your adjustments?

I am new to lightroom and coming from Photomator. While photomator is more limited it is a pretty good lightroom competitor. one thing i miss from it going to lightroom is that in photomator you could have endless "layers" for each adjustment or mask. So you could put a preset. then make a new layer and then adjust sliders all over again.

More importantly, if you used auto adjustments (which lightroom also has), you could then adjust the strength or effect/opacity of said auto adjustments. is there no way to do that in lightroom?

i use auto very often as a starting point in lightroom. sometimes it gets it 90-100% right. sometimes it has the "right idea" but its WAYY too strong like overexposed, whites pushed too much. I want to reduce whatever lightroom did automatically 50% for example by just pulling a slider, but i cant seem to figure out a way except looking at every single slider in develop and by eye try to reduce by 50%. that is an extremely slow workflow
