Issue with loosing grade on images in develop and libary mode

Dear Community

Would apprecatie some help resolving a frustracting 'glitch' that is erasing creative work from images.

Running Lightroom Classic 14.3 on Mac M3 sequoia 15.4

After an upgade to Sequoia (from Sonoma 14.3 (or 4) and a upgrading from 13.4 to 14  of Lightroom classic, images in collections when clicked on are returning back to raw files and in develop mode images freeze and can't click to next image, sometimes with a grey panel. this happens even when turning off graphics processing from perfomance in settings.

Since the upgrades newly uploaded raw files seem to be ok, not losing previous edits.

Raws are on external drive but have been working before this issue came to light

Any ideas would be apprecatied

When it appears that the image reverts back to the original RAW state, what does the History Panel show? Can you make a screen capture  of the History Panel for one such example (use the "Insert Photos" icon to insert your screen capture in your reply; do NOT attach files)

Thank you for the response.

I have looked at the history panel and by clicking on the last action (ie export in most cases) the settings are replaced. Which is a relief. The rest of the history is as expected, all actions or changes thru the grading process.

The Files are showing as .dng and was shot on a Canon R6 Mark 11 - raws .CR3

I have done full restarts and copied catalogs and relinked, the problem of images reverting back to raw still persits, but intermittently.

Swapping between Library and Develop, I can click from one image to the next ok in the film roll but then the preview (main image) freezes not reponding to the image selected. Changing back and forth between Library and Develop it sorts itself out but not for long, either dropping the grade or freezing again.

Another thing, probably unrelated, maybe not? I'm also looking to resolve, with the latest update to 14.3 the white of the border (added by downscaling in transform) is now showing like a png with patterned 'invisible' check background. Haven't changed any preferences and would like to aslo solve this.

Apprecatie any further help.

Hi @Stuart29174504oe8d! Welcome to the community!

I understand the frustration. Along with the great questions from @dj_paige, could you also let us know what RAW format you're using for your photos and the camera model you're shooting with?

If you're synced to the cloud, please check Lightroom Web to see if your edits are reflected there.

Thank you!

Alek

Using LR classic with back up catolog to desktop and external HD, so not syncing with LR Web

Thanks again for any further thoughts
