Keywords are being applied to all photos in the folder instead of just selected photos

When I check or uncheck a keyword box it gets applied to all photos in the folder instead of just the selected photo. 12.4 Release, Windows 11

Most likely you had all images selected. Because there always is one 'active image' within such a selection, that is highlighted more than the others, you may not have noticed this.
