I work with Lightroom 6.14, no cloud, no mobile phone. When I enter the keywors for a photograph i.e. with 5 people, Lightroom sorts the names alphabetically, even if the people are in a completely different order. For example, on the left, I have Peter, then to the right Susi, then Mary, then Eric and John. Lightroom rearranges them as Eric, John, Mary, Peter, Susi. I don't understand why Lightroom sorts the keywords alphabetically in this case and at this place. That makes no sense (sorry). There is already an alphabetical keyword list on the right side of the screen. The alphabetical sorting should be removed at the image or an option should be provided to work with or without sorting. I think it´s not necessary to sort two times. If I look for "Mary"I will do this at "Stichwort filtern" (keyword filter). This text was partially translated and generated by ChatGPT. Lightroom always shows keywords alphabetically. You are using an old version, so nothing will be changed in that version because it is unsupported, but also the latest Lightroom Classic does this.

"Lightroom always shows keywords alphabetically." Yes I know. "also the latest Lightroom Classic does this.". But what is the purpose of this nonsense ? Shall I ask a group of people to stand in an alphbetical order to adapt to LR-functions ? What will happen if Adobe stops this small routine in upcoming LR-version ? No one will notice this, because looking for keywords will happen as alsways at the old keyword filter. Regards WIF

You can file a feature request, but as you are using an old unsupported version, that will not not change anything for you unless you upgrade to Lightroom Classic.

I think you meant to say "thank you, Johan..."

Thank you Johan, thank you Keith, for updating my brain :-). I think, I found a solution for my "problem" and it works without upgrade LR. If you take the 5 persons from my example Peter, Susi, Mary, Eric, John. LR will not (!) sort the names, if you make it like the following: "Peter Susi Mary Eric John". No commas between the words and a quotation mark at the beginning and at the end. I think, LR takes it as one keyword. You may also use () or other special characters. And you may search and find each of the words als usual. Just test it. It works. Regards WIF
