Latest Catalog is corupt and will not repair, neither will the backup. I have troed several trick, like tossing the .lock file (didn't have one till I tried opening this file a few times). I tried opening a recent backup but it seems to be bad as well. So I htought, maybe it is the app. I reinstalled the app. But still no love.  Says it can not be repaired.

I am in the middle of a project and I am freaking out. Any ideas? I have some older backups, but I am afraid to use them incase they get corropted, like the other backup. - Thanks

I am on a MAC running OS 14.2.1, 16 GB memory. The catalog in on a seperate 2TB SD drive

First of all, what is the purpose of having backups if you are too afraid to use them? And secondly, you can duplicate the backup before you use it, so there is no risk at all of losing your backup(s).

Corrupted catalogs and corrupted backups are almost always a hard disk malfunction somewhere. Try unzipping a recent backup, placing it on a different disk than the previous corrupted catalog was on; and try opening it there.
