I recently got a Nikon Z8, I am using my old nikon lenses and third party lenses with an FTZII adapter, however I have to do the lens profile manually after import since Lrc does not automatically does it. Any ideas?

I have the same problem - with a wrinkle. The non-Z lenses are correctly identified in the Library module's Metadata panel. But they are misidentified in the Lens Correction panel of the Develop module. In order to apply the correct lens profile, I have to scroll through all the Nikon lenses to find the right one.  It is time-consuming to change all of them - and annoying. It is important, however, because the correct profile in some cases makes a discernable change.

"I have the same problem"

On the face of it, you don't.

You need to create a new thread, I think.

If Lightroom Classic does have the correct lens profile, then do the following. Select that lens profile, then click on the Setup menu that now says 'Custom' and select 'Save New Lens Profile Defaults'.

I have solved my issue, which MIGHT help with yours. I discovered that I had changed the Setup menu in the Lens Correction panel to Custom instead of Default. That made every photo get imported with the 24-120 ID in the Develop module. I changed back to Default. Now the lenses are IDd correctly in the Model description. In the Profile description, it says Camera Settings. The result is that the proper profiles for the lenses are applied. (I tested to be sure the result is the same as it was if I manually applied the Model & Profile from the list.)
