library mode and file folders

In Lightroom Classic library mode the "c" only lists the total photos taken this year and not the date of each photo or photo session. How do I correct this to show the date the photo was taken?

Screen shot please?  I don't understand the question.

You will notice under file folder "c" drive, dthomas, a total number of 2583, but when you expand that folder it does not show the date that the 2583 were taken.

Expand that folder by clicking on the triangle. You may find that there are dated subfolders after all (a solid triangle means that there are subfolders).
