Lightroom 12. 5 counts double the number of images than files on a disk.
Windows 11, a 500GB SSD mounted per USB, File count is around 16.000, but LR counts more the 32500 files during import scan.
The catalog is empty by start and only images are "added" not copied.
The machine has plenty of memory and free disk space.
The source disk conatain images of all types and many videos.
What goes wrong here, thanks for any hints.
