Which version of Lightroom are you actually talking about? Lightroom 5.7 is either extremely old or just quite old as there are two very different programs with that same name. The current version of Lightroom Classic is 13 and the version of the cloud based Lightroom is 7 and those versions are needed for Sonoma compatibility. Please look at the icon and post a screenshot of it (just type screenshot in the looking glass in the menu bar to make screenshots - you can make screenshots of just the program icon that way). That said, I don't think either the old or the really old version is compatible with Sonoma.

Thank you very much for responding and helping Jao. Hi this is the Lightroom 5.7. I just don't want to buy the Lightroom with subscription because I'm not really a professional photographer. I only use Lightroom mainly for organization and for minor editing like cropping and minor color/exposure adjustments. Don't do those professional editing. So my purpose mainly is for storage and organization of my photos.
If ther's no option to fix this, and if I buy the Lightroom 6, am I able to transfer my files/catalog from Lightroom 5.7? I hope it's not complicated

I don't think you can buy Lightroom 6 anymore. Adobe stopped selling it quite a while ago. It would not install on Sonoma anyways. The only option for Lightroom under Sonoma is subscribing to the photography package unfortunately. There is no perpetual license option anymore.

The last time you used Lr, did it close nicely? Or did you force quit, or did it crash? If either of the last two occurred or might haveoccurred, check for a lock file.
