Lightroom 6.0 starts, then quits within about 3 seconds

I had not used Lightroom 6.0 in a while. Today I clicked on its icon. It comes up with the opening window, then it quits within about 3 seconds. I am running Windows 11 with latest updates and with plenty of memory and a nice graphics card. Photoshop, which I use a lot, works fine.

Did you make sure the lock file did not exist (it should not). If Lr did not close properly at previous use, then that lock file will have not been deleted.
