We have Lightroom 6 installed on an old Windows 10 Toshiba laptop & been happy users for several years. About a week ago it stopped working. It comes up with the greeting screen but then it's the blue circle forever and the catalog doesn't open. Maybe some Windows update happened or what, it is a mystery.
We have rebooted the machine, no luck. Tried opening an older catalog from the backups, no luck. The machine does not have a GPU so that isn't the problem.
Any ideas out there? Anybody have a similar experience?
Yeah I know that eventually we will have to get a subscription etc. but probably we will just do that on the new Windows 11 machine that we are getting set up slowly. Until then... we have photo editing to do!
