Lightroom 6 Windows Zipped My Backup and won't open

I copied my Lightroom photos to external hardrive and then saved this exact catalogue to the same drive. I am using Windows and Lightroom 6. I was checking to see if valid and discovered the  file is zipped and won't load from Lightroom. I get the following message.
