Lightroom Adobe Profile

Hello! 🙂

I have a big big question. Why I can't use Adobe Colour or Adobe Standard in Lightroom for Nikon Z7II?

Instead I can use those profiles for Nikon D610. The details in DSRL looks different and more appropiate with the camera. Instead, the profiles for mirrorless are desaturated and dull. For Nikon Z7 i use camera standard profile but the edit is different. I like to edit more the dslr on adobe colour profile. The details look different in edit and the kelvin scale is different too... The lens i use is sigma 35 art 1.4.

Is Nikon D810, not D610 the dsrl camera.

Can you post a sample RAW file. You would need to place the file in a share such as DropBox, or another cloud share. And provide a link in a reply.

Ok, I downloaded your sample. And as of yet, I am not seeing or being able to repeat your issue.

 Here are three screenshots. The Import process, the first Library view with one of the images selected, and the first Develop Module. Note no presets, etc applied at import, Nothing odd in the Library module, And the Develop Module comes up with the defaults.

Oh, and in the Library Module, in the Metadata, the Nikon  7 II, is listed:

P.S. If I go and look at the profiles available, and just look at the Adobe ones, I see this:

And just in case, if I look at the Camera Matching ones, I see this:

Not a holder of a Nikon X 7 II, but I assume those are all the possibilities, yes?

You might want to reproduce the same screenshots as in my reply above. And show how yours are different. Nice big full screens.

Thank you for your response. I will show you how it looks at me. In the library module looks the same and in the develope the colour of adobe is unsaturated and the camera matching mode it's more colourful. When I edit the adobe colour profile it looks ugly and different (the last image) than i edit a photo from dsrl camera with the adobe colour profile. Finally, I can't use the adobe colour profile because it spoils the image. In dslr camera the details looks good and good editable instead mirrorless camera. What do you think?

Ah, I see that I misunderstood. It is not that the Adobe Standard profile does not show up, but that you do not like the results.

Yes, for many  users, the standard Adobe profiles may not be what they want. And yes, for some cameras, the Standard Adobe Profile may be junk. By the way, the Adobe Standard Profile can be separate file for different cameras, Some cameras get a dedicated version, usually after the previous one failed miserably.

Personally, in my workflow, changing from the Standard Profile, to a Camera matching profile, is one of my initial steps

1. Reset (yes, overkill)
2. Apply Preset Classic-General-Zeroed (A Fuji X user thing) to get rid of any left over Adobe defaults (sharpening comes to mind, it is a Fuji X thing))
3. Apply a Camera Matching Profile (I absolutely detest the Adobe Standard ones)
4. Apply correct general WB (typically Daylight, as opposed to As Shot, yes a bit OCPD)
5. Apply Lens correction
6. Apply Basic Exp, Whites, Blacks
7. Accomplish any Removals (dust spots, people I do not want, etc)
8. Rethink the overall exposure, and adjust
9. move on to other edits as desired

note that I used to include a touch of Tone curve in that. Now days I leave Tone curve alone until I am in the masking, where the tone curve gets applied individually where I desire.

I think, that you should use a camera matching profile. Accomplish that as an initial step before bothering with any general edits. Your Profile in use as a starting point effect what follows. If you change your mind, and change the profile late in the game, that effects the results in a different manner.

While these Camera Matching Profiles are not from the camera manufacturer (but may be a collaboration between the camera manufacturers and Adobe) , they are close mimics of what is in your camera. You may find that using them will get your RAW photo closer to what you noted in camera, much quicker than doing a lot of develop edits in the basic panel, or in the tone curves. Photo Matching Profile early, then other edits.

@unconfusing , In your post above you included 3 screen captures of the image number DSC_1626.NEF in Lightroom Classic Develop module, the first shows the Profile applied as "Camera Standard", no other edits applied.

The second shows the Profile applied as "Adobe Color" no other edits applied, this is the latest standard Profile that Adobe has produced. The previous Adobe Standard Profile is also available in the Profile Browser.
The third image shows the Profile applied as "Adobe  Color " other edits have been applied and you may have applied a preset or manually applied Tone adjustments in the basic develop settings.

I have downloaded the images you have shared and can see that the Adobe Color and Adobe Standard profiles are more muted than the Camera Standard Profifes they have provided.
