Since my catalog updated LR can not find the files on my external drives. Now in LR my folders panel shows 2 copies of each drive if they are attached but the info for one of the copies is the info from my interna mackbook drive. Every time I open LR I have to re-associate every image in my catalog even they are not being moved outside of LRScreenshot 2023-10-25 at 11.07.14 AM.png

Wow! It is usually one drive that shows this problem: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/lightroom-displays-same-hard-drive-twice.html

An upgrade, not an update.

Sometimes LrC upgrades foul up when it try's to open and upgrade the previously used catalog (assuming that is your default setting for what to open. Symptoms are a catalog missing lots of photos, or in the worst case, what appears like a new catalog.

Use Finder to locate the previous catalog, double click on it, and see what occurs. A fresh upgrade of that catalog should occur, hopefully correctly.
