Hi there,

I recently bought a new iMac and moved everything over from my old one using Time Machine.

I am having some issues with LR. Everytime I open it, I get "The Lightroom catalog cannot be used because the parent folder "Volumes/Firafly 1TB/Late 2019" does not allow files to be created within it.

Please either fix the flder permissions before continuing or choose a different catalog"

I can not seem to find a parent folder or permissions.

Any help would be appreciated.

So, Catalina

Outside off Lightroom, bring up your MAC's System Preferences. Select Security and Privacy , Select the Privacy tab. Scroll down to Files and Folders. Make sure that Lightroom Classic, and while you are at it Phtoshop can access all.

Hmmmm, I'm getting the same error message (with my own folder name), but unfortunately GoldingD's kind tip didn't help me, as I'd already granted those permissions. Any further guidance to offer, hivemind?
