Lightroom classic 10.4 on Windows 10 Pro (21H1) crashes some 30 seconds after start

Like the subject states. After starting Lightroom, it flat out crashes after 30 seconds or so.
Have tried SHFT-ALT combo to reset prefs. Also tried un- and re-install.

nothing helped. please advicee

No I don't have to restart. Lightroom just quits, disappears into nothing.

 

[UPDATE] I ended up opening a chat with a very helpful Adobe support person. They, at one point took over my PC and tried a couple of things. Although I'm still not sure what the actual issue was, he did the cleanest of re-install (meaning he ran Adobe cleaning tool to clean Lightroom and Camera RAW first) and now it works.

Asking for clarification: when LrC crashes, do you have to re-start your computer (or does it restart automatically)?

for future reference; this was all tried to no avail
- reset preferences by holding SHFT-ALT while booting Lightroom
- use clean / new catalog
- roll back to v9.4
- disable GPU acceleration
- disable all plugins

So, credit where it's due; Adobe's support person helped me for 3 hours and fixed it!
