Lightroom Classic 12.5 - denoise function "is not currently compatible with my photo format"

I have upgraded to Lightroom Classic 12.5 because I wanted to use the denoise function.  My Nikon P1000 produces Nikon RAW .NRW files, but the denoise function is not compatible with these it seems.  Are these expected to be handled in the future?

Maybe.

At the moment, Denoise only works with (single channel) mosaic raw files. Demosaiced (RGB) files won't work.

NRW files from the P1000 are raw files containing mosaic data.  I am able to invoke Denoise on sample P1000 .nrw files downloaded from dpreview.com, in my LR 12.5 / Mac OS 13.5.1.

Next troubleshooting steps:

1. Restart your computer. If the problem persists:

2. Verify you are in fact editing a .nrw file by typing "i" in Develop until you see the file name. It's not uncommon for people to not notice they're editing a .jpg or .tif instead.

3. Do the LR menu command Help > System Info and copy/paste the entire contents here so we can see exactly which versions of hardware and software LR thinks you're running and important LR options that are set.

4. Click the Apple icon in the upper-left corner and do About This Mac. Post a full-resolution screenshot (not a phone pic) of the About window.
