I have an older macbook with OS 10.15 "Catalina" and would like to install Lightroom Classic. The last version compatible with this mac is Lightroom Classic 9.x.
Can anybody tell me where `I could find this old version or how I could get a version of Lightroom on my mac.

To get Lightroom Classic you need to subscribe to the Adobe Photography Plan which includes Photoshop, Lightroom (cloud-based) and Lightroom mobile apps for smart phones and iPad.
The sync feature available for that plan requires Lightroom Classic 10.4 present version is 13.0.2.

I have sighed up to Adobe photo plan but that will only let me install classic 13.x. And not an older version of classic.

I don't think that there is an official path to get older versions of a software. Older software is limited to the current major version and one off.

@ProDesignTools maintains links to Adobe's download servers. You will need to dive into the Creative Cloud downloads and check the Lightroom Classic links.
If you can't find them there, you will need to check with Adobe Customer service. Contact Adobe support directly via Chat or telephone, as far as I know a download is not available online.
