Lightroom Classic abruptly crashes & ejects my external hard drive

I am running lastet version of macOS Big Sur and Lightroom Classic and everytime i make edits or browse , LC abruptly crashes & ejects external hard drive on which the cataglog is stored.

As a test, you can create a new catalog on your internal drive. Then import a few images to it and see if the crashing continues. If not, backup the catalog on the external drive and move it to the internal drive and see how that goes?

You can always roll back to an earlier version of Lightroom Classic.
