Lightroom Classic Book - can I remove photos from a collection set?

I created a collection set to organize photos for a book. I uploaded the finished book to Blurb and created a saved book. Can I remove the photos from the collection set and have them remain in the saved book?

Why would you want to do that? Collections are just lists, like a playlist in a music player. The images in a collection do not take any extra space in the catalog (except the space of the list), if that is what you think.

Thank you for your response. It is just a matter of cleaning up collections to get rid of what is not needed. The collection I need is for the photos that ended up in the book which are contained within the saved book. The sub collections organizing the photos are not needed.

Knowing that you have a 'Saved Book Collection", Yes, you can delete photos from a Standard Collection (Not from a Set), or you can delete the entire Standard Collection that you might have used to start a new book. Consider you may want the Standard Collection for other uses (eg. Slideshow).

Delete the Standard Collection- ,

DO NOT Delete the Saved Book Collection-
