When I start LR it freezes after about 10 seconds and the spinning wheel appears. I have to wait for 2 minutes before the ball disapears and I can start working . After that all works fine.
Does anybody know why this happens ? It looks like it is searching something... I do not use the cloud and
maybe it is searching for files in the clout ?
Thanks
Thanks for your help !

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.

1.Problem still exists !
2.Many people I know do NOT want to upgrade their Mojave as a lot of programs do not work anymore. Often these are programs we like to keep using.
3.I don't like the prescription way Adobe uses to distribute their programs. I bought Lightroom as a stand alone version and I do not want to pay every month for very minor upgrades I don't need or use. I don't like the way the moneymachine Adobe works. I will update and pay for it when I want to, not the way they oblige me to make monthly donations !
There are other competitors who make excellent software that you buy and OWN !!.

Those two bits of info/reply do not match up. From the above, I see:
Lightroom Classic-versie: 7.2 [ 1156743 ]
Licentie: Creative Cloud
v7.2 is subscription. So you must be paying for an Adobe Plan, most likely the Photography Plan.

I do not know if this is possible, but on your reply, that you marked as correct, does an option to unmark as correct show up? Members often sort on unanswered.
