Just installed it and I'm impressed by the responsiveness for browsing and adjusting images in library and develop modes. I've been waiting a long time to see this improvement!

Can't agree more, a very much needed improvement.
The greatly improved speed led me to experiment with my catalogues last night. I had previously split my single (~70000) into individual years to improve performance on the previous version(s) of LR. I merged them all again last (after taking back-up) and I can confirm the single (upgraded) catalogue performance is still great. It is also considerably more compact after upgrading.

It's a pitty that users of Ligtroom 6 Standalone doesn't appreciate such responsiveness - I can't accept Adobes CC subscription because it is mafia "protection money" in fact...
