Hi everyone,

So I'm facing the following issue. For the past few days my Lightroom Classic is absolutely unusable. Few days back I was editing a bunch of photos and then the whole thing crushed. When I restarted it all my progress was lost from the specific collection, however I could find the edited photo in the "past month" folder.

After all it went downhill. Now everytime I open Lightroom and try do anything at all it closes by itself withing a few minutes (if that).
I've tried restarting my iMac, even ran a recent upgrade to Sonoma, I've uninistalled and reinstalled Lightroom Classic, switched off the GPU function (saw someone recommending it for a similiar issue), but there have been absolutely zero results and I still can't work.

Any help and advice would be highly appreciated!

To begin troubleshooting, test some variables like:

  • Unplug any external peripherals & use wired input devices.
  • Unplug external drives.
  • Temporarily, unplug extra displays & only keep one active at a time.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
