Hello folks,
I'm having a weird issue where Lightroom Classic (13.5.1) won't export. The progress bar appears, goes to 100%, but no photos ever show up on my hard drive, nor does the progress bar go away. Lightroom Classic's CPU usage is at 0% even with the "operation in progress". I've tried changing performance settings to not use GPU to see if that would fix the issue. Lightroom says it's editing originals and not Smart Previews.
This morning, I shut down computer, fresh boot, still have the same issue. I did notice that the progress bar area had hidden tasks that didn't have bars and one was Saving XMP
Basic steps: selected pictures I wanted to export, went throught the export menu, clicked "Export"
Expected result: exported pictures in local storage
Actual result: nothing

Tried again today, even rebuilt smart previews (which worked as now the icon for Originals + Smart Previews is lit up) and tried exporting to a different drive, but still nothing exported and an instantly filled progress bar. Something was sort of happening as my CPU fans spun up for a few seconds though.

Have you updated to 14.0.1 and attempted Export there?

I forgot to update since I immediately had to head out of town, but updating to 14 did seem to fix it.
In the process of rebuilding all smart previews, but a first test export of 10 images worked!

Forgot to say: really not sure why updating to 14 was the answer. It should've worked previously unless this was a shadow way to force updates.
I was hesitant to update to v14 since I had seen a lot of discussion on bugs and didn't want to deal with them until v14 had a few patches in

Get you library out of OneDrive!! LrC does not work well with catalogs in a Cloud location.

That's a good catch @Rob_Cullen . Good Advice!

General process/worflow question: I have my library on OneDrive because I will edit Smart Previews from my laptop when I'm not at my home desktop.
What would y'all recommend as a way to allow me to work remotely?

Per suggestions from Rob and Rikk, I moved my catalog out of OneDrive (leaving files where they were) and onto my secondary SSD (where my cache is). Export still fails in the same fashion.

There also needs to be a 'local' version of the image files, ie. the files need to exist on your device as well as in the OneDrive cloud. (A green check on the files?)
If LrC only has access to 'local' Smart Previews with the catalog (on the SSD) then I would expect to see a warning message that exports will only be at the smaller SP file dimensions.
Further investigation needed.

There were no warnings about using only SP dimensions, the export just didn't work before updating to v14
