I have Lightroom Classic 12.5 running on an M1 iMac with Ventura 13.5.2. I copy photos from my camera SD card into a folder on my iMac. I then launch Lightroom and click import. I navigate to the folder with the new images, but the new images do not show, just the greyed out versions of those already imported. 'Do not import suspected duplicates' is not chaecked. Finder show the photos are there and if they are jpegs I can display them. If I click a photo in Lightroom that comes from the same folder and click 'show in finder' the photo shows and scolling shows the new photos to be in the folder.
This problem is the same with jpegs, iphone raws and Fuji raws, and has only started in the last few days. I was running Monterey, but have now loaded Ventura today, and the problem is still there. How can I get import to show new photos so that I can import them?
Thanks,
Jonathan Cross

Go to MacOS 'System Settings - Security & Privacy' and add Lightroom Classic to "Full Disk Access". Click on the lock icon to unlock the settings (not needed in Ventura), then click on the plus icon to add Lightroom Classic if it isn't already listed. If it is listed, then just enable the checkbox (or the switch in Ventura). See also Quick Tips: How to give Full Disk Access to Lightroom Classic on macOS

Sorry, but this does not work. I have the same problem on my Macbook Air. LR Import doe snot show half the folders in Pictures that Finder says exist.
