Hi,
I'm using Lightroom classic v11, my Catalog is located on my win10 pc but my pictures are located on my Synology server. i have been having this issue for a while, while developing, importing or viewing my pictures Lightroom will randomly crash. upon opening it will say that my Catalog is damaged and needs repair but unable to repair it, i'll have to upload an old Catalog or create new one.
Any idea on what could be the issue ?
Hi, Reading through this thread, i think i might have found the issue: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/lightroom-classic-catalog-damaged/td-p/12431546
My catalog is in a folder that are being live synced to my server, could this be the issue ?

The first thing that you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue.
Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

Another step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

When your catalog is damaged (repeatedly) this happens because of a hardware malfunction. In this particular case, the likelihood is that your hard disk is malfunctioning. Try placing your catalog on a different local (internal or external) disk and see if the problem goes away.

I don't really know what "live synced to my server" means, but yes, I suppose that could be the issue, and it should be easy enough for you to confirm, by turning off this live synching and seeing if the problem goes away.

It is a two way sync folder, testing now.
