I'm using both versions of lightroom, classic for my desktop and lightroom for my ipad, and I recently synced all of the images that I use on lightroom to lightroom classic. I have 30,000 raw images I'm working with and I created a synced library on an external hard drive. My lightroom is running pretty slow and I'm wondering if I should put all of those synced files on an SSD instead of an HDD? Any help is appreciated!

My lightroom is running pretty slow ...

If Lightroom is slow (rather than Lightroom Classic is slow), you are in the wrong forum, you should post in the Lightroom (ecosystem) forum.

If Lightroom Classic is slow: Please be specific and detailed. What actions in Lightroom Classic are running slow? Slow performance in LrC is rarely due to disk issues, and so I doubt that using an SSD will make a noticeable improvement.
