Lightroom Classic Sammlungen verschwunden

Danke

Translation to English

I have an LR Classic catalog with about 50000 pictures. Suddenly, all the painstakingly compiled collections are set to zero.

What does "set to zero" mean? What do you see when you look at Lightroom Classic that indicates "zero"? What happens if you click on the collection name, do you see photos? Do you not see photos?

Did you upgrade your catalog to a new version in the last few days before this happened? Did you create a new catalog recently?

If I export the collection as a catalog and import it into the current catalog, it imports a lot of images that are already included. Of course, they have changed their place, but I might have to solve that manually via "Find missing files".

1. How can I prevent duplicates I have turned on "Do not import possible duplicates".

2. Will the collection be restored or will I receive the old images as new ones chaotically distributed across the catalog?

3. How can it happen that the collections are set to zero images?

Before we go ahead and propose solutions, I think it is best to try to figure out what happened, and so the answers to my questions above should help.

Hi, dj_paige,

"set to zero" means, what it says: All the collections are shown with "0" pictures. When I click on a collection, appears a black window "no photos".

It is a very old catalog, which has been actualized, whenever Adobe calls for it. I don't remember, if this is associated with the disappearance of my collections.

Meanwhile I perhaps found a solution: I import the collection as catalog. Because I didn't change the metadata, I can let them been overwritten. Than the pictures are integrated in the existing catalog and appear in the before exported collection.

The problem is solved – the reason of this unnecessary work remains still unknown. Therefore I would like to get your ideas/help.

Thanks, beotto
