Lightroom Classic Slideshow not working

I see a few posts with the same issue and no responses. I'm giving posting it a try. I've used Slideshow regularly for years to present to my clients. It's not working at all now. Please advise.

Here are the details:

Lightroom Classic v10.2

Mac IOS Mic Sur v. 11.3.1

Same here, all the same tech specs.

Any slideshow containing more than 190 images chokes.

Still no response from Adobe.

I now have to export my slideshows to a flash drive so I can transfer to an old Macbook Pro running High Sierra and Lightroom 9.0, which works perfectly. 

An aggravating, time-consuming, productivity-killing operation.

Super frustrated.
