I use lightroom classic a lot and have come to appreciate the denoise function. It worked succesfully on my last job of batch work and synchronising of over two hundred raw photos (January 2025). I tried to use it to process a batch of 10 and then on an individual image this week no luck. It starts the progress bar comes up and then nothing no DNG file. I have over 200 GB of ssd disk space. I have tried with a 4050 GPU both on and off no luck. Lightroom works but classic does not. I cannot find the temp file so I conclude it has not been generated. Help appreciated
1 Correct answer
"It is not the driver. I rolled back the software of lightroom and it works. So it must be the latest Lightroom Software"
That would be an incorrect conclusion. Adobe is constantly changing the code that uses the GPU, and there are many reports here of an updated LR tripping over bugs in a graphics driver that didn't affect an older version of LR. That may or may not be happening here.
As Axel suggested, please do the LR menu command Help > System Info and copy/paste the entire contents here so

Denoise doesn't work during the GPU support is deactivated.
It seems there a problem with your graphic device driver. Check if the latest Studio version of NVidia's driver is installed.
It's recommended to use the Studio version of the graphic driver and not the "Game Ready" version.

It is not the driver
I rolled back the software of lightroom and it works.
So it must be the latest Lightroom Software
I have the latest driver the first thing I checked

Thanks for the comment but when I have the latest drivers and a fully updated machine and a particular software version does not work after an auto update and the latest does the correct conclusion is the software version. I am not going to roll back again to find if it is 14.1 or what the problem is as 14.2 works and it must have been a 14.1 bug.
