My images won’t all upload from my camera to Lightroom classic there doesn’t seem to be enough space on my hard drive. There is 13GB free storage. I thought that Lightroom classic uses the cloud to store the images so why does the space on my Mac matter? Is this the same with Lightroom? Or shall I use an external hard drive with LRC.
thanks

Lightroom Classic stores original images on your computer.
Lightroom (cloud-based) app will upload original images to the cloud with an option to retain originals on your computer. See the link for additional information.

13GB of free disk space on your drive is insufficient. This is likely to be the case irrespective of whether you're using Lightroom Classic or Lightroom Desktop (cloud version).
It's also important to understand that syncing imported photos to the cloud is not instantaneous. Instead, photos imported into Lr Desktop must first be stored on the local drive, even if only temporarily, whilst they're cued for syncing to the cloud.

Get an external drive. Move your photos on the external drive. Point Lightroom Classic to the external drive. (Detailed instructions are in Part 2 of this document).
