Using latest LC V12 with ACR V15 on Windows V11 Pro and when creating more than one mask the subsequent masks begin to hang and get slower and slower until it becomes almost impossible to work. Original RAW file sizes are around 85Mb and system RAM 32Gb.

So, yes I see RAW, but did you convert to DNG or import using  "Copy as DNG"?

The graphics driver (30.0.14.7291) for the Nvidia graphics hardware is almost a year old. Update it to the most recent driver directly from Nvidia's web site. Many LR problems with masking are caused by older, buggy graphics drivers.

I've done that and there is no noticeable difference. This issue is being experienced when upgrading between Lightroom Classic V11 & V12.

While the attachment you sent might have the following, the attachment is so long that I gave up looking for it. And while system info from the OS is useful, the smaller set of System Info as LrC reports it may be more helpful, especially it is as LrC sees it via communicating with the OS, and their could be an issue their.

So, can you inside of LrC, click on Help, then System Info, then Copy, and paste that into a reply?

Adobe is continually changing how LR uses the graphics processor, so it's entirely possible that LR 12 is tripping over bugs that don't affect LR 11.   Please post the current output from Help > System Info as advised by @GoldingD.

The driver you've got installed is 31.0.15.1740 (from about two months ago), but Nvidia.com shows a newer driver released just a few days ago:

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/194240/en-us/

You might try updating to that.

Thank you john, I've done that and on the surface it does seem to have improved a bit, so I'll keep persevering in the hope that has fixed the issue.

I spoke too soon. Still occuring especially when adding a 'brush' mask as the fourth or fifth mask after some 'radial' and 'linear' masks. Particularly if one or more of those have been intersected by 'luminosity' or 'colour' masking.
