Lightroom Classic Will not open on Macbook using Sonoma

New Here ,

I have Lightroom Classic version 13.0.2 I have just updated my mac operating system to sonoma 14.1.2 on my Macbook Air M1 but I cannot get Lightroom to open. I get the splash screen for a few seconds and then it disappears.

It worked perfectly until this update. I have tried the suggestions regarding access/privacy and resetting but still no joy. I could really do with this resolving as I have editing to do. Please help!

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

On a Mac you can make a new user. Login to that user and you can start Lightroom Classic. This is not a nice solution but make clear that it is a conflict between your account and Lightroom.  I also tried with assistance of adobe to reset all settings but that didn't work. The only solution is as far as I know now is the delete your user profile and reinstall it. Big job and not so nice. May someone else find a solution.

Thanks for that, it at least enables me to access Lightroom Classic, and allow me to finish the jobs I was in the middle of!
