Lightroom Classic won't read SD cards.

A few days ago, Lightroom Classic stopped reading RAW files from my SD cards. My Nikon D850 can read them and Lightroom will read them from the XQD card in my camera.  Yesterday, the Denoise function in LRC ceased to work.  I'm using an iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020, running Ventura13.5.1.

More than likely, the SD card reader stopped reading; it has nothing to do with Lightroom Classic.

Yesterday, the Denoise function in LRC ceased to work.

What do you mean? What do you see? Please describe in detail. Also please provide the version NUMBER of your Lightroom Classic.

I've used both an Advent USB card dock and the dock at the rear of the iMac.  Lightroom reads neither.  Yet iMovie reads the card from my trail camera on the same iMac, from the same Advent dock.  So the dock is working.  My Lightroom Classic version number is 12.5.

I've resolved the Denoise issue myself.

Ensure LR is granted Full Disk Access (not Files And Folders) permission:

Without Full Disk Access, LR can do all sorts of screwy things.

Thanks John.  I checked that a couple of days ago and again after your post.  It has full disk access.

Can the Mac Image Capture utility download the raws from that card?

If so, what precisely do you see when you do LR Import?

If the Apple Image Capture utility can't download photos from the card, that strongly indicates the problem is not in LR.   Use Image Capture to try reading different cards from the multiple card readers to narrow down whether it's a particular reader or particular card.

Thanks John.  I know it's not a particualr card, because I've had the same problem with more than one.  I've also tried two different card readers.

It could be the camera is not writing the file properly.
