I am working on a desktop and a laptop. My Catalog is saved on and external SSD. The photos are located on my desktop but laptop is also connected to this drive over wifi, this worked fine and I never had problems. Yesterday it came with an error and that the catalog was corrupted, I thought I fixed it by going back to a backup but now the same happens again and all the edits I did yesterday are gone and I need to update all AI Masks that are still there....

Do you use that external hard drive containing the catalog on both computers. That is you disconnect it from one, then connect it to the other in order to access the catalog? Or do you use WiFi to connect to the catalog when using the laptop (or visa versa)

Yes, the catalog is on the external harddrive. So if I edit on my desktop its connected to my desktop and if I want to edit on my laptop I plug it into my laptop.

And when you go to disconnect the External hard drive you use the Windows button to safely remove it? To eject it? Or you shut down the computer it is on before disconnecting it?
