lightroom greyed out

Community Beginner ,

In one perticular folder, Export and plug ins like photoshop are greyed out. I work with orriginal files. What could be a solution? Other folders are OK. Before today I did not have any problems.

[Mod: Moved to the appropriate Lightroom Classic forum]

[Mod: changed 'map' to 'folder'. The OP is probably Dutch (in Dutch a folder is called a 'map', and a map is called a 'kaart']

Sorry, but it's not about missed originals. I contacted already Abobe a few times. However, no solution yet. If I import photo's from my Z9 and Z7II I cannot see a preview. A grew field. After importing them into a file I see the preview.

Are you working in Lightroom Classic?

If so, my guess is that the original files are not available for that particular folder, and that you have created smart previews.

Edit in Photoshop will be greyed out if the original is not available, not sure about Export.

Smart previews can be identified by the text "Smart Preview" below the histogram in the Develop module.

Many thanks for your reply, I already contacted Adobe support center. I work with original files and not smart previews. It's a mistery. When I delete some files and add them again to lightroom the problem is solved. If I create a test catalog and add these files, problem is solved as well. However if I try to create a new catalog and transfer the existing catalog, I get an error. Hopefully the support center can help me. Thanks for your effort. Peter.

Above would suggest that your catalog is corrupt in some way. To help confirm whether that is the case, post a screenshot of the error message or add the 'exact' text displayed to your next post.
