When I try to import (add) new images with the include subfolders checked from an external hard drive, it also adds all the images that are in the adobe program folders which is on the C: drive (internal hard drive).
You can exclude them by unchecking them before you import. Lightroom Classic will show you all of the images it sees in the sources that are available.
