Lightroom is distorting images on the Web

Hi folks, Lightroom is distorting images when I post collections to web galleries. See the attached examples.

Is there any way of fixing this? This happens when I extend the border of a Tif file in Photoshop to change the aspect ratio of the image. When it is posted to a gallery via a collection, the image becomes distorted. This does not happen on all images.

Additionally often, when I make changes to an image in LR, those changes do not migrate to the respective collections that have been posted as web galleries, so my clients cannot see the changes.

I am working on a Mac Studio OS 14.2 directly on the internal computer hard drive.

Update:

I removed the images from the gallery and then re-imported them into the gallery and now the problem of distorted images sees to be solved. I don't know why this is the case but would love some insight Adobe.

Any thoughts on how to fix this issue?
