its a long story but here it goes. on dec 11 I bought a new macbook pro, went into apple store we moved everything from my old macbook pro 13 in to this new one with a lighting cord. I used the new computer that evening to edit images in lightroom classic. i use external harddrives to store my raw images, the catalog i edited them in and the .jpgs I export when im finished editing. I used LRC the following thursday and friday. Monday I tried to open LRC and the icon bounced in the task bar and didnt do anything. I checked the force quit to see if it was running in the background, it wasnt. I made sure i was running on the latest operating software on my macbook. I am running on sequoia 15.2. I then checked the creative cloud and updated LRC. Tried to open it again and it wouldnt open. So i restarted my computer. tried to open it again and it did nothing again. so i uninstalled and reinstalled, again nothing. i restarted computer, still nothing. I contact apple support, thehy say call adobe. I call adobe. adobe runs through all the same things I did already. then they took control of my computer remotely, created another profile, and installed LRC. It opened fine on the new profile. Adobe tells me i need to contact apple and have them merge the profiles to correct the issue. apple says no no cant do that, it may mess up your other files. adobe deletes the library files in lightroom and we check the cache, still wont open. im at a loss. cant take it to genius bar cause its not a hardware problem. adobe says they fixed it, but they really just made another profile that will run LRC. thoughts? ideas?

Yikes - sounds painful. In a sentence Lightroom Classic runs on the new user profile but not your original profile?

Can you login to your user profile (not the new one) and post a screen shot of the folder where your Lightroom Classic catalog is stored? Is it in your Pictures folder or is it on your external hard drive? Also can you confirm that on this new computer that you have all of the permission set up via System Settings? Does Lightroom Classic have Full Disk Access?

Did you upate to 15.2 or was it installed when you first set up the computer?
