I attempted to load lightroom classic today, after pausing some workflow a few das ago.
It would not open and a screen message relating to the catalogue not being available with options to quit, continue or choose alternative catalogue folder?
Non of the options provided any progress. Unistalled lightroom classic and reinstalled. A catalogue update/upgrade happened, now when it loads all of my previous folders and library is unavailable?
What has happened and how do I resolve the issue?

It sounds like the application could not locate your catalog file. Did you move or rename it? Are you logged into the computer as a different user?
The catalog by default is stored in the user pictures folder. Look there and see if you find it. If you find the catalog (with .lrcat extension) double click on it to open the application.
