I have the Adobe Photography plan $9.99 per month, which includes LR 20 GB
I would like to: (1) download raw photos (full frame 63 mpx files) that I take on a trip to my iPad pro, (2) process a few of the photos and post them on FB/Instagram, and (3) delete the photos from my iPad that I don’t like.
When I return home I would like to transfer the raw photos remaining on my iPad to Lightroom Classic on my MacBook Pro.
What is the simplest/best way to accomplish this job. Thoughts or suggestions. Thanks.

If you're not going to hit more than 20GB during your trips, the simplest is to simply install Lightroom on the iPad and log on to your creative cloud account. Set Classic to sync. Any image you import on the iPad (use a card reader or a USB-c cable rated for data transfer (at least a 10 Gbps capable cable) will automatically show up in Classic when you get back. When the images have transfered to your Mac, you can delete them from the cloud version and they will remain in Classic. If you need more cloud space on your trip, you should upgrade the cloud storage. You can also simply be selective about what images you import into the cloud version so you don't hit the 20 GB limit and simply import the rest into Classic when you get back.
