Please do not attach screenshots. They are inconvenient to view and right now there is an issue with the forums that makes it impossible to view them (unless one downloads them). Always embed screenshots, using this button:

In addition to that, it appears some issue is occuring in the community. Attached images are not showing up.

That's what I already said (when I said: "and right now there is an issue with the forums that makes it impossible to view them"). It is impossible to use the preview option for attachments. The only thing you can do is download them to your computer to view them, but I categorically refuse to do that.

I'm not sure what happened here, but I have never heard of a situation where Lightroom Classic moved its catalog all by itself (to the desktop or to any other place). I also have no idea what you second screenshot has to do with this. It shows a Disk Utility repair action of your hard disk. It does show however that this disk was corrupted (and got repaired successfully), but obviously Disk Utility cannot solve the problem of the missing location-data.
It seems to me that your catalog file was moved to the desktop by someone for some unknown reason. The default location of the catalog is a folder called 'Lightroom' inside your 'Pictures' folder, so it would not surprise me if the missing lrcat-data and other support files (previews) are still in there. Moving the catalog back may solve the problem. Double-click it to launch Lightroom after you moved it, so Lightroom knows where it is.

The KR is now working again, but from the desktop. I bought another HD and wills that LR has a disc of its own in hopes of any further mysteries.

After LR moved the cataogue and attendant fies
While we await seeing your screen shots, can I ask for a clarification? Lightroom Classic does not move catalogs and related files. So we need more detail about exactly what you did and what happened.
Also could you please tell us what operating system version NUMBER you are using and what version NUMBER of Lightroom Classic you are using? We need version NUMBERs and not words like "latest" or "up-to-date".
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
