I updated Lightroom Classic yesterday, and I noticed after the update that the Lightroom presets are adjusting the entire image even if it's supposed to be a limited edit. For example, 'POP' subject, 'Enhance Clothes', any of the sky edits.... they are altering the entire image, not just what they are supposed to alter. No matter which one I select, it's adding portrait enhancements, adjusting the light and color on the entire image, etc. Is this a glitch, or is this something new Lightroom has added. Either way, how do I make it stop? I am losing precious editing time trying to figure out why these presets aren't working like they are supposed to. Thank you!

An Adaptive Develop Preset should create masks (selections) which you then adjust in the Masking Panel.
Can you give more detailed description of which preset you select, where you make the adjustments, etc.
My LrC14 suitably selects clothing with 'Enhance Clothes' and I make the adjustments in the Masking Panel (Where I can select a 'Local Adjustment' setting for the Brush, Color, etc.).
Some have made the mistake of scrolling down the Right-hand panels and make adjustments in the Basic Panel- which is Global.

Thanks for responding. If I am selecting a preset such as 'Enhance Clothes', it is not selecting the clothing, it is making an adjustment to the entire image. No adjustments being made, just right at selection it is applying adjustments to the entire image, not just the clothing.
And now I think the particular photo I was working on was just glitching, because I selected a different photo and the presets are responding exactly as they are supposed to. Reset all adjustments on the photo I was having problems with and now it is also responding as it is supposed to. Gotta love technology sometimes!
