lightroom says "no photos found" when importing new files

Lightroom say"no photos found" when importing photos but they are copied onto the disc.  Bridge can find them but Lightroom cannot. I am using the latest version of Lightroom classic.

What exact version of Lightroom Classic. "Latest version" is meaningless.

What camera?

What OS?

And please share a screenshot of your Import screen.

Same problem here. LRC 13.1 Try a sync on a folder and there's nothing to import. Try an import, click new files, nothing shows up.

Search for that file in LRC and no results. Clearly the file is there - shows up in Finder as well as Bridge.

No library filters on except for "filename contains." Turn all filters off, sort by file name, do a manual search, file not there.

Folder in LRC list some 1800+ files. So I removed all of them from the catalog, then hit "Import," and the same folder listed 2600+ files. Import finished with 1800+ files.

These are not exotic file types, but jpg's and psd's that it simply is not recognizing.

Please do not add your problem to a thread that is 4 years old! The chance that this is the same problem while you use a different version of Lightroom and a different OS version makes this very unlikely. Create a new post or look for a similar problem post with the same version of Lightroom that you use.
