Lightroom version

Windows. All minimum requirements met. Please see attached dxdiag output for all system details.

Lightroom classic has become very, very slow. Images are not shown (black window where the photo is supposed to be shown) or weird colors, or the program just crashes. Impossible to use. I uninstalled and reinstalled, with absolutely no effect.

Please help...

Thank you.

Fabian

You're working on a rather old i7 4th generation CPU.

Have you tried activating/deactivating GPU support?

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/lightroom-gpu-faq.html

If that doesn't help, try if it helps to reset preferences:

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html

Black or gray windows instead of photos usually comes from broken screen calibration. Try to use default sRGB profile as described here: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/community/threads/how-to-assign-an-srgb-icc-profile-to-your-monitor-w...

You are also running with an outdated GPU driver,

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M
Driver Version: 21.21.13.6909

that is actualy v369.09

however the newest one at NVIDIA is 3 years old. That would be v425.31.

Looks like NVIDIA no longer supports it. That GPU probably does not support the option to use graphics processor, if it does, it is just minimal, best to turn that option off.
