I have been successfully importing photos from my hard drive. Suddenly It stopped importing, saying no photos were found. I am following the exact same procedure. I have restarted the program and my computer, but am still unable to import. I opened a new catalog as a test and could not import there either. Help!
The problem has been solved. I deleted the empty import folder and added another. Now it works! I have no idea why that happened, but it has worked for two days now, so I'm hopeful it will continue to work.

Hey jpnc5,
That's strange. Can you share what version of Lightroom are you currently using? Are you seeing any short of error message?

What is the exact sequence of steps you use to try and import. Please tell us step-by-step, leaving nothing out.

The photos are in a folder 'import'. Within LR I click 'import', go to that folder and choose the photos to import.

Just to be sure, since I asked you to leave nothing out, after you do the above and select the photos to import, do you then click on the Import button? Are there check marks on each photo you want to import?
