Lightroom v13.0.1 does not read metadata from xmp file in the same folder

I used Lrtimelapse for editing timelapse. The Lrtimelapse had create xmp file, but Lightroom Classic doesnt read the xmp file for metadata, and it cant write changes to xmp file too.

Have some one meet this problem

How about a screenshot via Windows File Explorer of the folder those xmp files are in (same folder as photos correct??)

hmmmm.. DNG files. Wonder if that is the issue, is LrC expecting the xmp to be embedded in the DNG?

Can you take some non DNG RAW files, and try?

LR will sometimes read metadata for DNGs from .xmp sidecars, but the rules of when it does are complicated:

To troubleshoot this: Select two of the problem DNGs and upload them and their .xmp sidecars to Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar, and post the sharing link here. I can put them under the microscope to see what's happening.
